This makes such a great gift for a foodie. The book is beautiful. Each recipe looks hand written in colorful fonts, with illustrations, and the overall feel is quite whimsical. It’s almost a piece of art disguised as a cookbook. Anyway, I’ve yet to make the recipes but it sits in my kitchen looking pretty. One day.........
This is a gorgeous book. Even without the recipes, it'd be an ideal coffee-table volume. All my friends sit in my kitchen and flip through it while I cook because the illustrations are so beautiful. Love the recipes! As half-Ecuadorian, the recipes are not nearly as popular as Peruvian food, but this book has the best of both styles. Can't wait to stock up on more chiles to try more recipes. It even has a nice little bookmark to keep track of what you're planning to make next. I appreciate, too, that she comments on which recipes are vegetarian or can be made vegan. While that's not my style, i can modify the recipes easily when friends come into town!
Beautifully illustrated book! It was given to me as a gift some time ago. I decided to spread the goodness and purchased two more for other friends. It really is a compilation of the most beloved dishes in Latin America. It doesn’t have pictures of the dishes, which I understand most people want, but the pretty illustrations through the book make up for it! I really wish the book had a ring spine instead of bound--it would make it easier to keep it open.
This is one of the most beautiful recipe books I've ever seen and makes a really great gift! Not only does it have the most beautiful, vibrant illustrations I've ever seen, but the recipes are easy to follow, and there is a section that explains all of the major tools and ingredients used in Mexican cooking, advice on how to pick the best produce, etc. This book is a true gem! I think I might get her Cuban cookbook next!
This book is absolutely beautiful! The recipes are great but I think I live it most for the artwork! The book is large like what I would consider using for a coffee table book.
This is probably one of the most beautiful books I have ever seen. Illustrations are gorgeous. Recipes are very easy to follow and food is good. This is a hardcover book. Excellent idea for a gift for a person that likes to cook.
