Right from the start, you know that Libbie is up to something. It's fun, and terrifying, to find out exactly what she intends to do. The heat cranks up with every chapter and there are some great twists along the way. It's downright chilling!
It's been forever since I've read a book this fast. Not because it's short (it's not) but because I couldn't wait to see what happens next. The characters are great and the suspense exceptional.
I loved this book, especially the characters. You know who to root for, and even then there are always surprises about Tom and Alice. I was on the edge of my seat waiting to see what Libbie would do next. Definitely recommended for suspense fans!
What a good read. If you like a good psychological thriller, you will really like this book. I recommend reading. I will be reading more of Steve Richer.
I'm pretty sure I will never rent out my house to anyone after reading this! The book starts innocently enough as we meet Tom and Alice, your average suburban couple. They're pretty awesome. But as Libbie shows up, she peels at the layers of their relationship and there are some fun surprises. I loved how realistic the story was was still being entertaining. Very satisfying read as far as I'm concerned.
One of my favorite books of last year was Steve Richer's Stranger Danger so I was excited for this new book. I have to say, I was not disappointed! The characters of Alice, Tom, and Libbie are vividly real which makes it easy to empathize. The suspense builds and builds until you don't think you can take it anymore, which I love. Great read.
This is an edge of your seat , unputdownable read. The Crime / Psych Suspense Genres have exploded over the last few years bringing fabulous new authors. I can best describe the book as a cross between films like Fatal Attraction & Single White Female yet the writing is original, fast paced with a tight story arc.Will follow this author
I know we read books and say we couldn't put it down. This book was really really a can't put down book. I now have a new favorite author.
